What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a form of therapy that provides emotional and psychological support, helping people make sense of their experiences, navigate life's challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. As a trained Arts Psychotherapist, I draw on somatic, creative and evidence-based approaches to support nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, personal growth and lasting change.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process that unfolds over time. Sessions involve building a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety, trust, consistency and genuine connection. Within this supportive space, you can explore the landscape of your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace, creating opportunities for healing, insight and meaningful change.
When we pair Psychotherapy with creative modalities, it provides us the tools and avenues to go beyond what words can convey and draw upon our unconscious mind. The gift of Art Therapy is the safety it provides for one to face the confronting parts of therapy, and the ability it has to support the integrity of our mind/body experience.
